Here you will see the girls that started our kennel. Without these two girls, we would not have the dogs that we have today. For that, we are very grateful. Thank you Kara & Chloe.

AUST CH KATHJEAN LADI KARA 'Kara'

DOB: 25/05/87 Photos at 2 years

Kara, or Aunty Entity as she was also fondly known, was our first real showdog and foundation bitch. This girl taught us a lot along the way. Kara's sire was AUST CH ROTVEL ALPINE HENRICH out of KATHJEAN HOLLY. She possessed high working drives, which she has passed down the line to some of our current dogs.

She balanced her time from the showring to the veterinary surgery (where I worked at the time) - she would greet out clients as they came for treatment. She could also be found out the back herding the ducks into a corner if she was bored - she firmly believed that they "just had no right to go where they pleased"!! She would keep them there for hours!!! Always the matriarch, Kara was a great role model to our young dogs, teaching them good manners - or bear her wrath!!

Kara produced two champions for us: AUST CH KALRISSAN RISING FURY and AUST CH KALRISSAN KOTAR KARMA. She had a Hip Score of 9 (4:5).

AUST CH BULLWEILER DONNA 'Chloe'

DOB: 09/09/85 Photo at 3 years.

Chloe was our second foundation bitch and was sired by POIROT KRACKERJACK (IMP UK). Her dam was RODRUTH OLGA (a POIROT HUMBLE PIE daughter). Chloe had a Hip Score of 1 (0:1).

We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase Chloe as an older bitch. Her owner could not manage her strong temperament and made the wise decision to part with her. Chloe had taken a liking to cats (eating them) as well as other undesirable behaviour. It took some time to re-school her and there were certainly some "battles of the wills". In the end though, good sense prevailed, and she lived quite happily with my mothers cats at the Yelta Boarding Cattery. We even have photo's of her curled up on the lounge with them (very much alive & in good health!!).

Chloe produced four champions for us (from her 3 litters to different sires): AUST CH KALRISSAN KOTAR YASMIN "Yas", AUST CH KALRISSAN KOTAR SAXON "Saxon" , AUST CH KALRISSAN COLD FIRE "Navar" and AUST CH KALRISSAN ICE ON FIRE "Camilla". She has had an invaluable influence on our breeding program and is behind most of our dogs today. We hip scored most of her progeny (16), the highest score, a 6, with 3 scoring a perfect 0.
